Vanderbilt Strings
Fine
Music for Your Special Occasion
The
members of the Vanderbilt Strings are all professional musicians.
Each is a member of the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra, and actively
performs chamber music, solo and orchestral works in the Southwest Florida
area, and throughout the country.
Each
of us has many years experience in providing chamber music for special
events including weddings, parties and other gatherings, business functions,
fund raisers, dinners, any many other events. |

| Assistant
Principal Violin for the Naples Philharmonic, Joel Fuller is an avid chamber
musician. He has helped in forming several string quartets including the
Vanderbilt in 2002. He studied chamber music at the University of Michigan
as the first violinist of the Rosseels String Quartet, the graduate string
quartet in residence at the University of Michigan where he earned a Masters
deree in violin performance and chamber music. |

| Allison
Jones received both a Bachelor and Master of Music in violin performance
from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. She has performed with the
Madison Symphony, the New World Symphony, the Charleston Symphony, the
Spoleto Festival, the Aspen Music Festival, and is a founding member of
the Painted Sky Music Festival in Flagstaff, Arizona. Allison is currently
living in Naples and is a member of the Naples Philharmonic and of the
Iris Chamber Orchestra, based in Memphis, Tennessee. |

| Glenn
Loontjens, violist, is currently in his fourth season as a member of the
Naples Philharmonic. He received his Bachelors degree at Indiana University,
where his principal teachers included Abraham Skernick and Joseph DePasquale.
Glenn has recently been a member of the Florida West Coast Symphony, the
New World Symphony, and was principal violist of the Sarasota Opera for
three years. He has previously performed with the Colorado Music Festival,
the Florida Orchestra, Jacksonville Symphony, the North Carolina Symphony,
the touring company of the New York City Opera, and as a principal violist
at the Spoleto Festival in Charleston and Italy. |

| Benjamin
Noyes, cello, graduated cum laude from School of the Arts in San Francisco.
He earned a B.M. from Rice University in Houston and a M.M. degree from
Northwestern University. His performances include the Dvorak concerto
with the orchestra at the Eastman School of Music, the Shostakovich Concerto
with the Beijing, Chengdu, Shenzen and Shanghai Orchestras and the Elgar
Concerto with the San Francisco Youth Symphony. His principal teachers
include Hans Jorgen Jensen, Paul Katz, Stephan Doane, Irene Sharp, Sato
Knudsen and Marc Johnson. |
